Argos Materials LLC is a new U.S. aggregates importer headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. We supply ASTM C33 / AASHTO M43 compliant limestone aggregates from Caribbean and Central American quarries through strategic port-connected terminals. Led by CEO Jason Teter (former Vulcan Materials and Lafarge USA executive), Argos Materials is the new commercial platform for Cementos Argos — one of Latin America's largest building materials companies, founded in Colombia in 1934.

- **Limestone 1 Inch (GR57)** — Houston, TX. ASTM C33 · AASHTO M43 · Azua Aggregate Quarry, Dominican Republic. Certified by Coastal Testing Laboratories (Report No. 260501-64275). Recommended for ready-mix and structural concrete, asphalt HMA, road base and sub-base, drainage aggregate, pipe bedding, and fill material. Specifications: Nominal size 1" #57, Specific Gravity 2.61, Soundness (Mg Sulfate) 5–7.2%, Absorption 2.1%, LA Abrasion 21.6–26.5%, Alkali-Silica Reactivity 0.011–0.07%.

## Heritage

Cementos Argos S.A. was founded in Colombia in 1934 as a family business. By 2016, it had built a major U.S. platform with 9.6M tpa cement capacity, 4.5M tpa import capacity, and 200 ready-mix concrete plants — becoming one of the top 10 cement producers in the United States. In 2024, Argos combined its U.S. cement and concrete operations with Summit Materials in a landmark transaction. In 2025, following Quikrete's acquisition of Summit Materials, Argos successfully monetized its stake — generating approximately $2.9 billion in cash and delivering a 4.7x return on invested equity. Argos Materials LLC was established in 2025 as the new U.S. aggregates import platform.
